Angie and Scout

                                                    Dear Patty

Sorry I haven't been in touch for a while!
Scout is absolutely the best dog I have ever
had or even seen!  We've taught him to sit,
stay, come, etc.  He will even sit on his own
now without us even telling him to when there
is a car coming as we go for our daily walks.
He will also stop playing with other dogs when
                          I call him...it's amazing...everybody is SO amazed
at how smart, well behaved and ADORABLE he is!

I love him SO much! Thanks for an awesome dog!

  Ben

Reader,

My introduction to Patty Barnes and her Log Cabin Labradoodles came last summer after my husband had passed away and I realized I wanted the companionship of a dog.  Because my 5 year old granddaughter has severe allergies,I began looking at non-allergenic breeds and, through a mutual acquaintance, I met Patty Barnes.  My first visit to the Barnes' residence was not what I might have expected from a breeding kennel...the dogs were all about the house.  A couple greeted me at the door, some were crated, some were in the fenced large yard, jumping at the fence, happy and curious to see me.  Inside, I was led to an upstairs bedroom where my future puppy's litter and mother were.  Ben was two weeks old and I sat on the bed holding him, his mother Chutney on the bed beside me.  Shortly, Ben's father Scoop was brought upstairs and bounded into the room and onto the bed.  This was my introduction to Ben.  Another litter of eight puppies was in another room being tended by Patty's excellent helper, Georgia.

Later visits, both last year and this summer have always included several older dogs brought into the room, as well as puppies of various ages brought in specifically to be handled and socialized and also to learn from the older dogs.  I have been impressed by the amount of thought and caring that goes into every situation that these puppies experience while they are with Patty.  Not only are they extremely well cared for, both medically and hygienically, but they are all loved and part of the family.

I received my puppy, Ben, as a special needs puppy, and he certainly has been that and more.  He loves people, loves other dogs, loves to play...he loves life.  So many people in the past year, when they met Ben or see him out walking, have asked me what kind of dog is he, and then where did I get him - who is the breeder?  I am most grateful to Patty Barnes and her unusually high standards in the breeding of her Australian Labradoodles.  Ben is a treasure.

Sincerely,

Janet W.

  Miss Sheila Farnsworth

This is Lil' Sheila, our mini Australian Labradoodle from Willie Nelson and Bindi's first litter.  She is tiny but we love every little bit of her.  She can be running or "zooming" as we doodle owners like to say one minute and then she will be cuddling in our arms, limp as a ragdoll the next.  She has filled our empty nest with joy, luscious puppy licks with just the right dose of puppy mischief.  Sheila is a treasure.  I take her everywhere with me and she is an instant hit.

People ask, what kind of dog is that?  Where did you get her?  Even the macho construction team who are working on our new house love to cuddle and goo goo over Sheila.  You see, Patty has a magic formula that makes sweet tempered, gorgeous, healthy puppies for us.  Seriously.  She told me it was a software program she runs before she will mate dogs, but I think it is the magic of Maine and Patty's love and care for her dogs.  When I visited, Sheila and I got to stay in the guest cabin, which is a darling whole house with the most comfy bed, all wooden walls, and heated floors.  Patty's whole operation is top notch.  I also got to see a couple different litters and, I am not kidding, I could have taken each puppy home.  I almost did confiscate Tucker, Sheila's brother, but his owner Abby would have come after me.  I am already dreaming about my NEXT doodle from Patty and have my name on a list because her lists fill up so quickly, many repeat buyers, which is always a sign of excellence in my book.

Master Leo

Patty,

I just wanted to give you an update on Leo and send a few pictures of my
handsome boy as it gets closer to his birthday!

Leo has been an amazing dog! He did fracture his right hind leg in February
and is now the proud owner of two screws...but he has done amazingly well.
He isn't going to reach the 55+ pounds the vet originally thought, he is
settling in about 30 pounds. He was a fast learner at obedience school, and
always gets an A+ on his report card from daycare.

People are always stopping me to ask about him and to find out where I got
him from-turns out the Labradoodles from xxxxxxxxxx aren't nearly as
cute as yours! We get compliments everywhere we go. He has a wonderful
personality-he hasn't meet a person or dog that he doesn't get along with,
and everyone loves him in return. He is really smart and extremely happy
all the time
:) I just wanted to let you know that Leo is truly my child
and to thank you for breeding such a great guy. When the time comes I will
be a repeat customer for sure-I still find myself looking at your new pups!

I'm attaching two recent pictures of him-I know I'm biased, but he is too
cute...I don't know if this is standard with your dogs-but his eye lashes
are two inches long...(I've had to curl them with my eyelash curler before
;0)

Best,

Hi Patty,

Sorry it's been so long since we have been in touch!

Busy, busy! But loving having two dogs,

and Scout is just a dream! She is so sweet,

and stays right by my feet while we walk on the beach,

as opposed to her overly gregarious brother! She is so very,

very agile and fast, and often appears to be on springs much like

her father, Scoop :) We took them to North Conway with us

for the day, and went into all the shops on Main Street

and they literally stopped traffic on the sidewalks!
